Yesterday was a bittersweet day in our house! Ashley's parents came down and brought Bryson's new big boy bed furniture. This furniture had been Ashley's Grandma Haga's set so that makes it special. All of the kids now have bedroom furniture that was passed down to them from grandparents. We had been talking to Bryson about it and I secretly think Tyler was more excited than Bryson! Ashley and I tackled the task of taking the baby bed apart and storing it. It was such a wierd feeling putting it all away. This baby bed was shared by all three kids and has been a major piece of furniture in our house for six plus years. As Ashley was taking it apart I was remembering when we put it together. We were so excited about becoming parents. Last night I was thinking about how excited we are to have three healthy children and that this is just the beginning of a new adventure in our lives!

It didn't take long to get his room all ready for him. Bryson enjoying his new room!

Bryson did great in his new bed last night and stayed in it all night. We didn't hear any fallouts or sounds from him. I put him to bed last night and got so tickled at his eyes when we first turned the lights off. They were so big with wonder and excitement! He would sit up and look around and then plop down and start giggling. It was precious. I checked on him before I went to bed and he was snug as a bug in his bed.

(note: the extra little girl in the picture is our next door neighbor, Ansley.. she was so excited for Bryson and wanted to help celebrate!) So with a slight tear in my eye and a lump in my throat we said goodbye to our crib and hello to a new adventure in our family!

Yay Bryson! Yeah, it is bittersweet when the cribs go away.
Sweet post. I'm hoping to have a similar one soon...then we can pass our baby bed (exact same one as yours, you may recall!) on down to Eli! You've got a precious family, Christine!
Those were sweet words that left a lump in my throat....
